Up to 3 briefs a day, pasted as text. Hamrr reads the brief, hands back what it found, and keeps nothing.

What it pulls out

  • The role’s title, team and seniority
  • The must-haves and the nice-to-haves, kept apart
  • Salary, location and how many days in the office
  • The start date, the interview steps and the hiring manager

What it asks you to check

Anything on the job brief checklist the brief leaves out, such as the salary band or whether it’s permanent or contract. If the brief lists more than three must-haves, it asks which three matter most, because three is what you can search against and what the client can rank.

It always adds two questions no brief answers: when the client can give feedback on a shortlist, and what would make them say no to a strong CV. The answers decide how your shortlist lands, and they’re better heard now than in feedback.

How to use it

  1. Paste the brief

The client’s email, their job description or your notes from the call.

  2. Check what’s missing

Ask the client the questions it lists, on the call or by email.

  3. Send the play-back

Fill in the blanks and send the brief back the same day, so it’s confirmed before any CV goes over.

It reads what the brief says. Which must-have a client will bend on, and what “senior” means at this company, still comes from you.

Hamrr does this for you

The call is yours. The paperwork isn’t.

In Hamrr, the brief becomes the role. The must-haves you agree carry through the shortlist, the submission and, if a hiring manager goes quiet for over a week, the chase.

  • Drafts the brief from your Granola notes or the client’s email
  • Reads each CV against the must-haves
  • Makes every CV on the shortlist client-safe

Questions

Is the job brief checker free?

Yes. You can check up to 3 briefs a day with no account. To have Hamrr draft the brief for every role from your call notes or the client's email, start a free 7-day trial.

Do you keep the brief?

No. The brief is read and handed back to you in the same step. Nothing is saved, and the only record is a count of the must-haves and questions it found.

What can I paste?

A client's email, a job description or your notes from the brief call, up to 8,000 characters. A CV, or anything that isn't about a role, is turned away.

Should I take the client's details out first?

You can. The checker doesn't need the company's name or anyone's contact details to read the brief, and it doesn't show contact details back.

Does it replace the brief call?

No. It shows what the brief says and what it leaves out, so you know what to ask. Which must-have a client will bend on still comes from the call.
