Getting Started / Introduction

Introduction

Hamrr is an AI recruiting workspace that helps recruiters work their live pipeline: follow up, review pipeline health, and keep candidate work moving from one place.

Instead of clicking through multiple dashboards, you describe the recruiting outcome you want in plain English. Hamrr reads the context it has, does the desk work, and shows you what it found before anything important is sent or changed.

What Hamrr does

  • Work the pipeline you already have — search across your recruiting data and surface the candidates already in it who are worth another look.
  • Keep follow-ups moving — spot silent candidates, missing feedback, and stalled roles before they become problems.
  • Draft the next action — prepare outreach, notes, summaries, and follow-up plans for recruiter approval.
  • Take work off you when you're ready — hand over one category at a time in Autonomy, and Hamrr stops asking for that category.
  • Show its work — every run is visible step by step, so you can see what Hamrr did and where it needs your input.
Note

Hamrr is built for recruiters, not engineers. Connect the tools your team already uses, then ask for the result you want.

How this docs site is organised

The left sidebar groups topics by area. Start with Quick Start if you're new, then explore sections as you need them. Each section is self-contained — you can jump directly to Integrations or Settings without reading everything in order.

Getting Started / Quick Start

Quick Start

Get from sign-up to your first useful result without needing a setup guide.

  1. Connect your ATS
Open Connectors and connect the recruiting tools your team uses. Once connected, Hamrr can use that context when you ask it questions.
  2. Sign in
Signing in opens the desk — your ranked worklist of what needs you today. The chat panel sits alongside it for asking questions and reviewing answers.
  3. Send your first message
Try something like: "Which of my candidates have gone quiet this week?" Hamrr will explain what it found and suggest the next step.
Tip

You can ask for the full recruiting outcome in one message: "Review my React Engineer pipeline, explain who is at risk, and draft a chase for each."

Example queries to try

  • "Show me Product Manager candidates in London who are worth re-engaging."
  • "Which open roles need attention before the end of the week?"
  • "Draft follow-ups for candidates who have gone quiet after final interview."
  • "Which roles are running thin on candidates right now?"
Getting Started / Core Concepts

Core Concepts

A few ideas make Hamrr easier to use day to day.

The Agent

An agent is a recruiting assistant that can do multi-step work. You give it an outcome, such as finding candidates or preparing follow-ups, and it works through the necessary recruiting context.

Connectors

Connectors are the systems Hamrr can work with, such as your ATS, email, calendar, WhatsApp, or team tools. You do not need to choose the behind-the-scenes action; Hamrr uses the right connected source for the task.

Autonomy

Work that sends a message or changes a record is grouped into four categories, each with its own switch on the desk's Autonomy panel. A category set to ask me drafts the work and waits for you; set to auto, Hamrr does it without asking and files a receipt. They're listed mildest first:

CategoryOn auto, Hamrr…
Research & draftingRuns scans and prepares drafts, ready for you to review. Nothing is sent or written anywhere.
Notes & record-keepingFiles notes and field updates to your ATS, where your colleagues can see them.
Outreach, follow-ups & chasesSends the messages it has drafted.
Stage & schedulingMoves candidates between stages and books interviews.
Defaults and limits

All four start on ask me, and can stay there indefinitely — a new account sends nothing unapproved. Switching one to auto shows you exactly what it will start doing; switching back is immediate. Deletions, cancellations and bulk changes cannot be automated at all: they have no switch and always ask.

Done automatically

Every action Hamrr takes unattended is recorded with its full content — recipient, subject and message — so you can see exactly what went out in your name. The category switches name categories; this log names the individual things that happened, so the two can never be confused.

The Desk / Today, Radar & By Role

Today, Radar & By Role

The desk is the screen you land on when you sign in. It's a ranked worklist of what needs you today, across every role you're working — not a dashboard you have to interpret.

The desk is deliberately read-only: it shows you what needs doing, but every row links you into the hub where you actually do it. There are three ways to look at the same worklist, switched with the toggle at the top:

ViewWhat it shows
TodayYour ranked list, in three blocks: waiting on your approval, drafted and ready to review & send, and everything else to do next.
RadarThe same signals grouped by function — Intake, Talent, Interviews, Pipeline, Follow-ups — around a central "add a role" node.
By roleOne row per open role, sorted by which needs a push, with a pipeline bar and a next-action pill for each.
Where autonomy lives

The right-hand rail on Today holds the Autonomy panel — the same four switches described in Core Concepts — plus a running log of everything Hamrr has done automatically.

Where the work comes from

A background scan reads your connected ATS and Hamrr's own memory of your pipeline, then surfaces what actually needs a human: a reply to review, a chase overdue, a pipeline running thin, an interview to book. Anything actionable is drafted before you're asked — so most of the desk is review and approve, not find and compose.

The Desk / The Five Hubs

The Five Hubs

The desk points at the work; the hubs are where you actually do it. Every hub shares the same layout — a tab strip with a count and an amber dot for anything waiting on you, a list of pending approvals, and a log of what ran automatically.

HubWhat it's for
IntakeTurn a brief or ATS job into a structured role — client, hiring manager, must-haves, salary band — and hand it off to Talent.
TalentAttach people to a role: check reliability from a LinkedIn profile, upload CVs, submit a shortlist to the hiring manager, mark someone contacted.
InterviewsBook time with anyone marked contacted — one-tap slots, a generated prep pack, and a debrief note logged after the meeting.
PipelineEvery role's depth at a glance, and one click to top up a role that's running thin from candidates already in your database.
Follow-upsThe triage queue for silence, risk and competing offers — approve a drafted chase, move a stage, or scan dormant talent for a role.
Getting to a hub

The desk is read-only, so its rows are what take you into a hub in the first place — each links straight to the one that owns it. Once you're inside any hub, its tab strip lets you switch to any of the other four.

The Desk / Approvals & Autonomy

Approvals & Autonomy

Anything that would send a message or change a record pauses for your approval by default, in every hub that produces it.

Reviewing an approval

An approval card shows exactly what's about to happen — for an email, the recipient, subject and body, all editable before you send. The button is named for the action it takes (Send email, Schedule), not a generic "Approve", so you always know what pressing it will do.

Handing a category over

Turning one of the four Autonomy categories to auto (see Core Concepts) stops Hamrr asking for that category specifically — nothing else changes. A confirmation dialog names exactly what it will start doing before it takes effect, and switching back to ask me is instant.

Today's log

A drawer in the app header lists everything Hamrr has produced across every hub recently — both what it sent unattended and what you approved yourself — so you can always see the full picture in one place, not five.

The Desk / Insights

Insights

A step back from the day-to-day worklist: how your desk is trending, and what's worth doing beyond today.

  • Desk score — a single number summarising the health of your pipeline.
  • Action plan — findings grouped into Do Today, This Week, and When You Have Focus Time, so longer-term work doesn't get lost under the daily list.
  • KPI dashboard — five benchmarked metrics: time to fill, time to first interview, offer acceptance, response rate, and data completeness.
Note

Insights doesn't repeat work already at the top of your desk — it's the view for everything beyond today's list.

The Agent / How It Works

How It Works

Hamrr breaks your request into visible steps so you can understand the work without needing to understand the system behind it.

The work behind each answer

StepWhat happens
UnderstandHamrr reads your request and the recruiting context around it.
Check sourcesIt looks at the connected systems that matter for the task, such as your ATS, memory, email, or calendar.
Prepare the workIt builds the shortlist, summary, draft, or recommended action you asked for.
Ask when neededIf the agent needs recruiter judgment, it pauses and asks before continuing.
Show the resultIt returns a recruiter-ready answer with the next action clearly explained.

Context-aware follow-ups

You can use natural follow-ups like "do that for the London role" or "make the tone warmer". Hamrr uses the conversation context so you do not need to repeat the whole brief.

Live progress updates

While the agent works, you will see plain-English updates like "checking applications", "drafting follow-ups", or "waiting for your input."

The Agent / Multi-Step Work

Multi-Step Work

Some recruiting requests need more than one step. Hamrr handles that sequence for you and keeps the progress visible.

When extra steps happen

Most simple questions get answered quickly. Longer recruiting tasks may require several checks before the final answer is useful. For example:

  • You ask for a shortlist, so Hamrr reviews the role, checks candidates, and explains why the strongest profiles fit.
  • You ask for follow-ups, so Hamrr checks recent activity, decides who needs attention, and drafts messages for review.
  • You ask for interview prep, so Hamrr gathers candidate context and turns it into a manager-ready summary.

Each major step is shown as it happens, so the work does not feel like a black box.

The Agent / Working Across Sources

Working Across Sources

Hamrr can use several connected sources in one request, which helps recruiters avoid tab switching and copy-paste work.

What this means in practice

  • ATS context — candidates, applications, jobs, stages, notes, and interview history can be brought into one answer.
  • Productivity context — email, calendar, WhatsApp, Slack, and Teams help Hamrr prepare actions in the channels recruiters already use.
  • Recruiter control — Hamrr can draft and recommend, while you stay in control of approvals and important changes.
The Agent / Memory & Context

Memory & Context

Hamrr is designed to remember useful recruiting context so it can build on what you already told it.

What Hamrr can rememberWhy it helps
Role detailsCompensation, must-have skills, location rules, and hiring manager preferences.
Candidate contextRecent replies, interview status, objections, and next-step notes.
Desk preferencesPreferred outreach tone, reporting format, and when to ask for approval.
Paused workIf Hamrr needs input, it can continue from the same point after you reply.
Workspace / Chat & Slash Commands

Chat & Slash Commands

The desk is where you work the ranked list; the chat panel sits alongside it for asking questions, running a quick command, and reviewing answers. Free-form natural language, multi-step instructions and follow-up questions all work here.

Slash commands

For common one-off requests, a slash command opens a typed mini-form instead of you writing a message from scratch: /compare, /notes, /risk, /score, /pipeline, /schedule, /intake, /prep-pack, /cv-check and /dormant.

Writing effective messages

  • Be specific about what you want — "show the React Engineer candidates stuck at interview stage for over 10 days" is better than "show stuck candidates".
  • Chain instructions in one message — the agent processes them in order: "review the shortlist, summarise the top 5, then email me a CSV."
  • Use follow-ups freely — "sort those by seniority" or "do the same for the London office" work without restating context.

Response format

Hamrr returns answers in recruiter-friendly formats: shortlists, action plans, message drafts, summaries, and downloadable reports when useful.

Tip

If you want a specific format (e.g., a numbered list instead of a table), say so in your message: "show me the results as a numbered list."

Integrations / Connecting Your ATS

Connecting Your ATS

Connect your ATS so Hamrr can understand your live recruiting desk: open roles, candidates, stages, notes, and recent activity.

Supported ATS platforms

Fifteen systems are supported: Zoho Recruit, Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, BambooHR, Manatal, JobAdder, Recruit CRM, RecruiterFlow, Breezy HR, Recruitee, TalentLyft and Teamtailor. The three below are documented in detail; the rest follow the same guided connection flow.

Zoho Recruit
Candidates, jobs, clients, interviews, and recruiter notes.
BreezyHR
Candidates, positions, and pipeline stages.
Recruitee
Jobs, candidates, pipeline progress, and offers.

Setup steps

  1. Go to Connectors in the top nav.
  2. Select your ATS from the list and click Connect.
  3. Follow the connection prompts for your ATS.
  4. Hamrr confirms the connection and shows what it can access.
One system of record

Hamrr uses a single ATS as your system of record, so there is never any doubt which system a candidate's stage or notes came from. You can switch to a different ATS later and re-sync from it.

Integrations / Zoho Recruit

Zoho Recruit

Hamrr can use Zoho Recruit as the source of truth for roles, candidates, clients, interviews, and notes.

Supported operations

  • Candidates — Search, create, update, add notes, change stage.
  • Jobs — List, create, update opening status.
  • Clients — Read client records for context on their open roles.
  • Interviews — Schedule, list, and update interview records.
  • Notes — Add recruiter notes to any candidate or job record.

Connecting Zoho Recruit

  1. Open Connectors in Hamrr.
  2. Select Zoho Recruit and follow the guided connection flow.
  3. Review the permissions before saving the connection.

Field mapping

Hamrr translates Zoho Recruit fields into plain-language labels so recruiters can ask natural questions instead of remembering system field names.

Integrations / BreezyHR

BreezyHR

Connect BreezyHR to search candidates, manage positions, and move candidates through pipeline stages via chat.

Supported operations

  • Candidates — Search by name, email, tags, or stage. Update profile details.
  • Positions — List open positions, view applicant counts per stage.
  • Pipeline stages — Move candidates between stages programmatically.

Connecting BreezyHR

Open Connectors, choose BreezyHR, and follow the guided connection steps. Hamrr will confirm when the workspace is ready.

Integrations / Recruitee

Recruitee

The Recruitee integration supports job management, candidate workflows, and offer tracking.

Supported operations

  • Jobs — List, create, and update job postings and their status.
  • Candidates — Search candidates, update profiles, move through pipeline.
  • Offers — List and track offer status for shortlisted candidates.

Connecting Recruitee

Open Connectors, choose Recruitee, and follow the guided connection steps. Hamrr will show when the connection is ready to use.

Candidates / Reports & Exports

Reports & Exports

Hamrr can generate CSV and PDF reports from any search or workflow result, available for immediate download or delivered via email.

Generating a report

  • "Create a shortlist report for the React Engineer role."
  • "Summarise active candidates in the pipeline."
  • "Send me a weekly summary of new applicants."

Report contents

  • Candidate lists — useful when recruiters want to review or share pipeline data.
  • Shortlist summaries — useful when sending hiring managers a cleaner view of top candidates.

Accessing reports

Reports appear with the response that produced them, ready to download or share.

Settings / Account Setup

Account Setup

Account configuration lives in two places: Connectors for the systems Hamrr reads and writes, and the {Your name}'s desk menu in the top bar for everything else.

Where to find each setting

SectionWhereWhat you configure
ConnectorsIts own pageYour ATS, plus email, calendar, WhatsApp, Slack and the other systems Hamrr works with.
SettingsTop-bar menuYour name and the email you signed up with.
ChannelsTop-bar menuLink and verify a WhatsApp number so Hamrr can reach you away from the desk.
Billing & usageTop-bar menuYour plan, spend and billing history.
Settings / Connector Access

Connector Access

Connector access controls which recruiting systems Hamrr can read from and write to. The setup flow is guided, and your team can remove a connection later if needed.

Common connector types

ConnectorWhat it helps with
ATSRoles, candidates, applications, notes, interviews, and pipeline movement.
Email and calendarFollow-ups, reminders, interview context, and scheduling support.
WhatsApp and team toolsDesk updates, pipeline checks, and prompts on the channels your team already checks.

Changing access

To change or remove a connection, open Connectors, choose the connected system, and follow the prompts.

Security

Hamrr only uses connected systems for the recruiting work your team asks it to perform. Important actions remain visible for recruiter review.
